Leo Schrantz
Head, AI & Data Transformation, Americas Client Business, BlackRock
Leo is currently the head of AI and Data Transformation for BlackRock's Americas Client Business. In this role he is responsible for helping define and execute against ACB's AI ambitions, and ensuring the data necessary to achieve those goals is in place.
Prior to this role, Leo served as Chief AI & Innovation Officer for Vestmark, a wealth management technology company, where he was responsible for shaping and executing the firm's artificial intelligence and innovation agenda, ensuring that transformative technologies were implemented in ways that were impactful, efficient, and scalable. His work spanned enterprise-wide change, from strategy to practical deployment.
Before joining Vestmark, Leo was a management consultant at Bain & Company, advising clients on strategy, operations, and commercial due diligence. Earlier, he worked at Accenture Federal Services, supporting government agencies in leveraging analytics to drive operational improvement. He also served as a rifleman in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve, including a tour in Afghanistan from 2010 to 2011.
Leo holds an MBA from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business and a Bachelor of Science in Foreign Service (BSFS) in International Political Economy from Georgetown University's Walsh School of Foreign Service.
