Bhaskar Ghosh (BG)

Bhaskar "BG" Ghosh  is a Partner at SF venture firm 8VC ($8B AUM; founded by Joe Lonsdale) where he leads the core enterprise s/w investment practice, and incubates disruptive businesses in AI enabled Services, BPO, SaaS and Infra. BG serves on the boards of Nile, Bespoke Labs, Rocketlane, Yugabyte, Ushur, Datahub, Tilda Labs, Spotnana, LightBeam, and Aryn, and has co-founded fintech and enterprise s/w companies through the 8VC Build program. BG’s current focus is in building in the new investment category of AI-powered services, BPO and roll-ups for high TAM legacy industries including travel, data services and audit-compliance, with a PE downside and Venture upside. 

BG has a PhD from Yale CS, and spent his formative Silicon Valley years building core tech and teams during the hyper-scaling phases of LinkedIn Data, Yahoo Ads, Oracle RDBMS and Nerdwallet marketplaces. BG is active in the non-profit domains both in the USA deep-south and in the India-US corridor, supporting entrepreneurship, performing arts - check out Ragas Live (NYC),  and education.
